Eco-insurance as a tool for sustainable development in Kazakhstan

Since 2005, the Law “On Compulsory Environmental Insurance” has been in force in Kazakhstan. It obliges some businesses to have environmental insurance. Such companies include those that carry out environmentally hazardous economic and other activities, such as those that use water resources or carry out oil operations.
