Now, under the new legislation, the president is elected for only one seven-year term. According to Article 55 of the Constitutional Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Elections in the Republic of Kazakhstan", the right to nominate candidates for the President belongs to republican public associations registered in the prescribed manner. Each of them can nominate only one presidential candidate. In order for the people of Kazakhstan to be able to take an active part in the referendum and vote for their candidate, special voting centers will be organized.
